The Italian Language School is a professional institution that teaches and promotes the Italian language and culture. Italian language classes are held year-round for adults and children and range from beginner to advanced level. All our faculty teachers are native Italians and highly qualified. Their loyalty to the school and our programs is rewarded so as to guarantee a quality standard and promote a common goal of continuous improvement. The Italian Language School is the only Institution in town recognized by the Italian government.

The Italian Cultural & Community Center has been extremely supportive throughout my Italian language learning journey. The courses are organized and well planned. My one-on-one instructor, Katia, has been exceptionally supportive and flexible with my work schedule. She continues to challenge and encourage me during our sessions. Italian Private Lessons - 2023
Customized Material in Advance and is Very Attentive
I have been taking online private lessons for a month, with a positive experience. I have learned a lot thus far and already feel the progress. The classes are organized and complete. The teacher sends the customized material in advance and is very attentive. The school coordinator is easy to reach and happy to provide advice. Both the teacher and the coordinator are a pleasure to interact with and are readily available.
Italian Online Private Lessons
Enjoy a Good Dose of Culture and History of Italy
I would like to take the time to thank the ICCC for the great work that they do for their members and students. I have been taking classes (both group and private lessons) for about a year and a half and my Italian language skills have improved tremendously. I would like to thank Giulia Iasoni in particular; as you know Giulia is our coordinator and teacher extraordinaire. She is very patient and utilizes innovative, and more importantly, fun methods that make learning the language dynamic and never boring. It is not just about the language per se but also a great dose of Italian culture, taught by a native speaker. She always keeps things fresh and is willing to adapt to the student’s interests. I highly recommend taking private lessons with her. Also, she does a superb job in evaluating and placing students in an appropriate course level which is a very dynamic and evolving process as some students may progress faster than others. I would also like to thank my current teacher, Alia, who is also motto brava, simpatica e paziente. She has been doing an amazing job with online sessions and was able to move us seamlessly into the virtual classroom. I am also impressed by how the ICCC was able to rise to the occasion and promptly switch to online classes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While it is nice to go to school physically, the online classes are as effective and honestly, very convenient. Insomma, I highly recommend the ICCC to those hoping to learn this beautiful language and at the same time enjoy a good dose of culture and history of the bel paese. Keep up the excellent job!
The Italian for Travelers class added immeasurably to the value of our trip
We just returned from three weeks in Italy, traveling to Ischia, Capri, Salina, Taormina, and Rome. The Houston Italian Cultural and Community Center’s Italian for Travelers class added immeasurably to the value of our trip. My greatest joy was seeing the face of the person to whom I was speaking light up with happiness as I struggled through phrases. I was more successful than not, thanks to Romina Marchisio my instructor, but even when I made mistakes the appreciation of the person to whom I was speaking was genuine, authentic, and visible.
How much more effective I was while traveling in Italy! And how much fun I had! Grazie mille!

I’m very enthusiastic about this year’s Board of Directors, who start on January 1, but before I talk about them, I want to extend a heartfelt and inadequate “thanks for everything” to Jerry Baiamonte, who is retiring from the Board. Jerry has given…
