Plot
In Rome, at dawn, when everyone is asleep, there's one man who isn't sleeping.
That man is called Giulio Andreotti. Calm, ambiguous, inscrutable, Andreotti
is a synonym of power in Italy for over four decades. At the beginning of
the nineties, without arrogance or humility, immobile, ambiguous and reassuring,
he advances relentlessly towards his seventh mandate as Prime Minister.
Nearing 70, Andreotti is a gerontocrat who, like God, fears nobody and doesn't
know what fear is. Everything—election battles, terrorist massacres, infamous
accusations—slide over him through the years without leaving trace. He remains
passive and the same as ever before everything. Until the strongest counter
power in the country, the Mafia, decides to declare war against him.
Trama
Giulio Andreotti - politico italiano della Democrazia Cristiana, da sempre
personaggio di spicco del panorama nazionale - è prossimo ad essere rieletto,
per la settima volta, Presidente del Consiglio. I suoi accoliti, che compongono
la 'Corrente andreottiana' della DC, si prodigano in sua vece dentro e fuori
dal Parlamento, anche contro i loro stessi compagni di partito, soprattutto
in occasione della successiva elezione del Presidente della Repubblica.
Ma fuori delle stanze della politica, il paese è sempre più stretto in una
morsa criminale, il cui vertice in molti riconducono allo stesso Andreotti,
tanto da iniziare a indagarlo ufficialmente per una serie di omicidi e di
associazioni di stampo mafioso

Plot
Antonio is a policeman who works as a bodyguard for a high-ranking politician.
He is officially married to Emma, but she's left him taking their kids Valentina
and Kevin with her. Antonio is determined to win Emma back, and when Kevin
is invited to a birthday party thrown for Elio's daughter by the politician's
young trophy wife Maja, he hopes it will give him a chance to reconnect
with his family. However, at the party Emma makes it clear that she has
no interest in getting back together with Antonio, who flies into a rage,
attacks Emma and then storms off with Valentina and Kevin in tow. Tragedy
is just around the corner.
Trama
Emma e Antonio, sposati e con due figli, Valentina e Kevin, sono separati
da circa un anno. Antonio, che fa l'autista e guardia del corpo dell'onorevole
Fioravanti, non ha per nulla riassorbito il trauma del distacco. Un giorno
la polizia viene chiamata dalla sua vicina di casa che ha udito dei colpi
di arma da fuoco. Passiamo così a conoscere le vicende della giornata precedente,
non solo in relazione a questo nucleo familiare, ma legate anche a moglie
e figli dell'onorevole nonché ad altri personaggi. Ma la tragedia umana
è in agguato.

Plot
Pietro is a film executive whose life takes an irreversible and devastating
turn one fateful morning. During a trip to the beach with his brother, Pietro's
path intersects with that of a woman, Eleonora, who is drowning in the ocean;
horrified, Pietro rushes in to save her. He subsequently returns home only
to discover that his wife, Lara, just died in a nasty falling accident;
devastated to the core, this nascent widower must make the necessary psychological
accommodations to adjust to life as a single parent, with sole responsibility
for raising his ten-year-old daughter, Claudia. Almost instinctively, as
a reaction to Lara's death, Pietro opts to sit and wait for his daughter
to finish school each day (in a park across from the school), in lieu of
abandoning her to his own priorities and commitments..
Trama
La vita di Pietro Paladini si è fermata a quel calmo giorno d'estate in
cui all'improvviso sua moglie Lara se ne è andata. Destino beffardo, visto
che al momento della tragedia Pietro stava salvando la vita di un'altra
donna, una sconosciuta. Il primo giorno di scuola dopo aver accompagnato
sua figlia Claudia, Pietro decide di aspettarla fino alla fine della lezione.
E così farà anche nei giorni successivi, quando un'insolita seraficità lo
porterà ad osservare il mondo dalla panchina su cui è seduto.

Plot
Oscar-winning Italian filmmaker Gabriele Salvatores returns to the helm
for this feature film, based on the novel by best-selling author Niccolo
Ammanniti and following the tale of an eleven year old boy and his neo-Nazi
father. The story of the relationship between a neo-Nazi and alcoholic man,
Rino Zena and his 11-year-old son Cristiano. They live on the margins of
the society in a town in North Italy. Their only friend is Quattro Formaggi,
a mentally ill man with whom they kinda form a surrogate family. A dark,
long night of rain, lighting and desperation will change their lives forever.
Trama
Cristiano, un ragazzino di circa 14 anni, vive solo con il padre Rino dopo
che la madre se ne è andata. L'uomo è un disoccupato, emarginato e violento
e per questo i due sono sorvegliati dall'assistente sociale. Ma è anche
un padre che ama immensamente il figlio, pur educato all'insegna della violenza
e della prevaricazione, così come il figlio è disposto a tutto pur di aiutare
il padre. Il film, tratto dall'omonimo romanzo di Niccolò Ammaniti, è stato
girato sia a Vajont vicino Pordenone che nei pressi di Udine, in luoghi
che hanno colpito e affascinato il regista per la loro bellezza ma anche
per la loro asprezza, elementi che fanno parte proprio della storia che
viene raccontata.

Plot
Titta Di Girolamo is a middle-aged former stockbroker who now makes his
living as a minor functionary with the Mafia. A few times a week, Di Girolamo
handles bank deposits of large sums of money brought to Italy from the United
States. When he's not occupied with that, Di Girolamo's life is barren,
with only his occasional heroin use adding drama to his days. Divorced and
cut off from his former wife and children, Di Girolamo lives in a hotel,
and spends much of his day killing time in their cocktail lounge as he watches
barmaid Sofia at work. When Di Girolamo's more outgoing brother Valerio
stops by for a visit, he goads Di Girolamo into making small talk with Sofia,
and soon he makes the unexpected discovery that Sophia has long had an infatuation
with him.
Trama
Il film, quasi interamente girato all'interno di un hotel di un'anonima
cittadina svizzera, racconta uno stralcio della vita di Titta Di Girolamo,
un tipo di mezza età, apparentemente un uomo in viaggio d'affari, distinto,
silenzioso e particolarmente schivo, che vive in una stanza d'albergo praticamente
da otto anni. Titta passa le sue giornate nella hall a fumare sigarette
e ad osservare chi gli sta attorno, condannato ad un'atroce routine in cui
è stato ingabbiato dal suo "segreto inconfessabile". Perché, come
egli dice in apertura, ogni uomo ha il suo segreto inconfessabile, che emergerà
a poco a poco anche grazie al progressivo innamoramento per la ragazza del
bar dell'hotel.
