“Le Strade del Vino” are paths within territories, wine growing areas, as well as vineyards, wineries, farms, natural attractions, cultural and historical sites that are particularly significant for the purposes of integrated tourism within Italy.

Join us at the ICCC for an evening of delicious celebration and sublime exploration as our chocolate expert, Laura Pipkin Kramer, Executive Chef at Camp Waldemar for Girls, pairs her well chosen homemade aromatic truffles with a selection of Italian wines, presented by Jack M. Fassetta, owner of Beviamo International. The ICCC is excited to continue to promote Italy’s magnificent wines by exploring the culture, history and social contexts of various regions!

Educational lecture led by:

Laura Pipkin Kramer, Executive Chef – Camp Waldemar for Girls – Laura, Executive Chef at Camp Waldemar for Girls in Hunt, Texas, has long loved the combination of wine and chocolate. Having offered her assorted hand dipped truffles as her gimmick gift at an interview for a new wine bar in Houston several years ago, she was able to professionally combine her unique recipes of chocolate with her fascination and enjoyment for wine. Her truffles were so well received Mary Vuong, food writer for the Houston Chronicle, featured her in a holiday article about hand made candies and her customers at the Wine Bar frequently referred to her as the “Truffle Lady”!

Jack M. Fassetta, Wine Expert and Founder of Beviamo International – Anyone who’s ever met Jack knows of his passion for all things Italian most especially, wine. A more than 30 year career in sales, management, training and motivational speaking in the food distribution and service business for SYSCO, US Foods and PFG/ROMA, has prepared him to successfully found this business that brings one of his most favorite pieces of Italy home. Jack is a graduate of the University of Saint Thomas, Houston, Texas, is an active member of the Greater Houston Restaurant Association and the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce, the latter of which has allowed him to travel extensively throughout many corners of Italy and connect with the most magnificent boutique vineyards and bring their outstanding wines to Texas.
