The Milan-born author of “No Ketchup on Spaghetti: The Complete Guide on How to Shop, Eat, and Cook Like an Italian” will share her experience here in the US and discuss her approach on how to shop and eat like an Italian. She will also talk about authentic Italian food versus “Italian-sounding” food and how to use high-quality Italian products in the preparation of everyday recipes.

 

 


About Alessandra “Ale” Gambini

She is a Los Angeles-based Italian food writer, cookbook author, recipe developer, award-winning host-chef of online food programs, Italian food advocate, and cooking instructor. Born and raised in Milan, Italy, she learned how to cook and love good food from her beloved grand- mother Nonna Fernanda. In March 2013, she started to write her food blog “Bread Love and Dreams” (then rebranded as “A Queen In The Kitchen”), a blog filled with authentic Italian recipes and easy-to-follow video recipes.

Official contributor for Expo 2015 Milano, Honest Cooking, I Love Italian Food, she also develops recipes for prestigious Italian and International brands. She is a published author of the cookbook “A Queen in the Kitchen.” In March 2020, her food and travel series “A Queen in The Kitchen – Estate Italiana,” was awarded at the prestigious Taste Awards. A cooking instructor (Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles, LA Food Bowl), she has been teaching extraordinary Italian cuisine to Italian food enthusiasts around the globe.
