Children’s Cooking Class this March 2014 at ICCC

SPECIAL EDITION OF LA PICCOLA CUCINA WITH EXECUTIVE CHEF AND FOOD EXPERT RENATO DE PIRRO

WHAT: Boost your child’s interest into Italian culinary arts, traditions and language with the Special Edition of La Piccola Cucina, Cultural Culinary Experience for Children, and this March at the ICCC of Houston. La Piccola Cucina is a program dedicated to children aged 5 to 12 years old, aimed at teaching the Italian language, the metric system, and the basics of nutrition, as well as promoting the many Italian regional culinary traditions.
This successful program is designed and directed by Tiziana Triolo, Director of Programs and Marketing at the Italian Cultural and Community Center and has received the attention of both National and International media. “The children are the future of the Center and overall of the Italian and Italian American community” explains Tiziana Triolo, “and this is why the ICCC
has invested in this program and it is always at the forefront in promoting and creating new activities for children”. “Through this program”, continues Tiziana Triolo, “children learn about cooking but also meet additional didactic and pedagogic objectives”. “I am always happy to work with the ICCC because they do such a great job to promote the authentic Italian culture and traditions. Last year I was invited to be part of La Piccola Cucina and I had a blast” added Executive Chef Renato De Pirro. In order to continuously innovate, the ICCC often offers special sessions of La Piccola Cucina with long-term partners in Houston and this
March in Austin too at Andiamo Ristorante! These special editions are the perfect occasion for children to learn how to prepare authentic Italian recipes under the guidance of Executive Chefs together with Tiziana Triolo and learn more about Italian language and traditions.
This March 29th, the Special Edition of La Piccola Cucina with Executive Chef and Food Expert Renato De Pirro will take place at the ICCC. The young chefs will learn how to prepare: “Le Uova di Pasqua” – “Easter Eggs”.
